Element Tools,
2017

Children nowadays suffer from a lack of tactile stimuli. Digitalisation leads to the world interfaced by only touching the glass of your phone screen, while industrialisation has resulted in toys being made out of monotonous plastic at a low price.

By creating tools which can be used indoors as well as outdoors, we want to stimulate children to experience the world around them. The objects are designed to be used on various materials like sand, water, clay and even mud. The set can be carried on trips to the beach or to the woods, but are also suitable for the bath or the backyard. The objects can be used and interpreted in many ways, providing an empty canvas.

Project in collaboration with Vera Flinterman.
